Interns & Volunteers

We invite you to come work along side us!

DAVA’s Interns and Volunteers Program invites artists, educators, college students, and community members to play an active role in supporting creative youth development. Interns and volunteers contribute their time, skills, and perspectives while gaining meaningful experience in arts education, community engagement, and nonprofit programming.

Participants work alongside professional teaching artists to support classroom activities, prepare materials, mentor students, and assist with exhibitions and community events. Whether helping facilitate a studio project, supporting digital media instruction, or assisting behind the scenes, interns and volunteers help create a welcoming and inspiring environment where youth can thrive.

Intern Experience

Internships are ideal for college students, emerging artists, and individuals exploring careers in arts education, nonprofit leadership, or creative industries. Interns receive hands-on experience, mentorship from experienced teaching artists, and opportunities to develop leadership and professional skills. Many interns take on independent projects, assist with program planning, and build portfolios that reflect their work with youth.
