Join DAVA for Denim for Change, a family-friendly community art-making fundraiser celebrating creativity, upcycled denim, youth voices, and the power of art to bring people together. Guests will enjoy hands-on art stations in DAVA’s Open Studio and Visual Arts Studio, including sewing, gluing, painting, airbrushing, bleaching, screen printing, block printing, and patch sewing. All supplies are included with admission.

No experience is needed. Fashion designers, artists, and creative experts will be on hand to offer advice, guidance, and hands-on help throughout the event.
General Admission – $25 Includes access to DAVA’s Open Studio and Visual Arts Studio, with hands-on stations for sewing, gluing, painting, airbrushing, bleach stenciling, screen printing, block printing, and patch sewing. All art-making supplies are included. Click this link for GA tickets.
Makers Studio Upgrade – $45 Limited to the first 20 ticket buyers. This upgraded ticket includes everything in General Admission, plus exclusive access to DAVA’s Digital Arts Level II Makers Studio. Guests can sample advanced art-making technology to customize denim using tools such as laser printing, sublimation printing, Cricut machine designs, heat press rhinestone applications, and embroidery machine use. Each Makers Studio Upgrade includes up to three selected machine-use options, along with access to all general admission studios, supplies, and activities.
All tickets also include access to DAVA’s Art of The Revolution Gallery Opening and other block party activities happening during the event. The gallery opening is free and open to the public.
In support of Aurora Fashion Week, guests are also invited to wear their customized denim creations the next day to an exclusive influencer content creation event at Aurora Highlands, where they can be photographed for social media in their denim looks.
Proceeds from Denim for Change support DAVA’s arts education, creative workforce development, and community programs for young people in Aurora. If you cannot join us for the event, we invite you to make a donation to DAVA so we can continue to provide learning opportunities to our Job Training in the Arts students. Our advanced equipment is generously on loan for this event.
